So boho feat Calae

Hello Hello…. Long time no post! Can’t believe this is my first post for the year at the end of JANUARY!! No excuses for being lazy (there I said it!). Shame on me but hey, I’m pretty active on Instagram..following me there yet @sizedupstyle ?

Well I’m back now and super kicked to show you the most comfortable dress I own at the moment.fullsizeoutput_149Clashing patterns, paisley prints and tie-dyes are synonymous with boho fashion and it is all the rage right now. Honestly, I was never a fan of paisley prints and my style has been anything but boho. But like always, I  had to challenge myself and try something new; isn’t that evolving with fashion?fullsizeoutput_147So when I saw this paisley print dress on Calae‘s new arrival, I knew I had to experiment with it. The fabric is the softest material that has ever touched my skin and the flutter sleeves makes the dress quite whimsical.fullsizeoutput_145Calae is quickly becoming one of my go to brands to shop from. The best part about Calae is that it offers great quality fabric, and you can feel it when you wear their clothing. All my items from Calae have been in tip top condition so far and that says a lot about a good plus size brand.

fullsizeoutput_14fThis dress is quite versatile and you can style it in multitude of ways. You could  wear it with some junk jewellery and throw on a denim jacket for the ultimate boho chic vibes, or wear it the way I have.

I’m not so big on accessories, so I tweaked the length of the dress by pulling it up and giving a romper-ish feel. I’m also wearing as it is with some colourful earrings to keep it girly and conservative.fullsizeoutput_151Hope you enjoyed my super long post. Until next time.. adios my loves!

Vintage style feat Last Inch

Happy humpday ladies! Hope the festive season is keeping you in high spirits! Today, I bring you another fashion experiment that was just a wee bit out of my comfort zone because well, let me explain –

I’m often conflicted with my own thoughts of wearing something that may not be “age appropriate.” Yet at the same time, as I inch towards dirty 30s, I’m overwhelmed with this rebellious desire to wear whatever I want in the most non-conformist fashion. Therefore, this blog post is an ode to the ultimate 90s style with me sporting this GnR tee dress. This dress not only expresses my love for their music, but in a way satiates my defiant side.

I got this baby from one of my fav plus size brands – Last Inch and like always, they never fail to impress me with their designs and fabric. I love how they’ve incorporated mesh details on the neckline and casual distressing all over which gives an overly worn vintage style vibe. Honestly, I just loved the way it looks as it is so I’m wearing it with my favourite pair of sneakers to complete the look.

BTW did you notice my new hair? Do you likey?

Holiday feels in my Last Inch dress

I have 50 odd days to go for my winter holidays overseas but the excitement levels are too high that I’ve started prepping for my holiday outfits. And when I saw this amazing oversized asymmetrical shirt dress on Last Inch’s new arrivals, I knew it will be coming with me on my vacay!

I’ve done quite a few posts featuring outfits from Last Inch as they always keep up with trends in Plus Size fashion in India (such a blessing for us fashion forward ladies).

Now coming to this dress, I’m beyond thrilled that it’s so versatile to style. Even though this dress looks summery, it’ll see you through the winter. This mysterious location am off to has quite a moody weather! So, keeping in mind the temperature fluctuation, I styled this dress 3 ways for a moderately hot morning to pleasant evening to chilly nights.

Bare Shoulders

Since this dress has buttons all the way down, you can undo the first 3 to make it look like a sexy off the shoulder shirt dress. With all my posing, I couldn’t keep the collar down my shoulders but trust me it looks amazing this way.

Collar up

The embroidery on the collar is so beautiful that you need to flaunt it.

School girl vibe

This was hands down my favourite way to wear this dress! I love how the dress frills out of my chunky long knit. It is still hot here in my city, but for my holiday I would be rocking this with knee high socks along with these boots.

Ladies, now rush and add this beauty to your cart from Last Inch’s website and thank me later! Ciao

Into the wild

Animal Prints – some LOVE it/some cannot STAND it. Personally, I have always found them interesting yet extremely tricky to pull off. They look so classy when you see celebrities wearing them but if your life doesn’t revolve around red carpet events, strutting out and about in animal print seems a bit too much ?!

Off late, I have been hunting for animal printed accessories/shoes as they make such amazing statement pieces. Instead, I ordered this beautiful shift dress from Dorothy Perkins to venture out of my comfort zone and challenge myself.

To be honest, I was still anxious about wearing this dress all by itself! So, I decided to give it a workwear chic look. I love how this brown blazer paired with the dress gives a tonal structure to the entire outfit. Another fantastic thing about this dress is the way it hides the lumps and bumps, so yaaay no shape wear needed.

Unfortunately, this dress is sold out however I will make it my personal mission to find you something similar if you absolutely want a dress like this. Please DM away on my Insta – @sizedupstyle and I will be at your service. Have a good day y’all !

On the bright side

Hey guys! If you can see even a wee bit of sunshine in your part of the world, then I’m extremely jealous of you 😦 ! Thankfully, we don’t get the constant drizzle here in Bangalore, but the weather’s so gloomy that I had to shoot for this post indoors.

So here I’m, with my super bright pink on pink outfit fighting this drab weather in style.

When I first tried on this top and skirt combo, my husband had the most dissatisfied look I’ve ever seen. But ladies, if you take pride in your personal style and get a similar reaction from your significant other, trust me it’s going to be one of the best fashion experiments you will ever try!!

I must say, you need this skirt in your closet. It’s feminine, whimsical and I absolutely love the ruffle detailing. It’s lightweight and perfect for workday to wine’o clock. I paired the skirt with a casual shirt style striped pink top with cold shoulder sleeves along with my good old pointy floral slingback heels from Payless.

Did you like this monochrome pink look? Do share your thoughts on this outfit so that I can prove my husband wrong :D. Hope you come back for more..

Summer Red feat Last Inch

20170807-379842991If you’ve been following my blog, you know how much I love my tight fitted clothes. You see, it took me a long time to embrace my curves and now I leave no chance of not flaunting them. However, it’s not always comfortable to be strutting around in bodycon dress/skirt, especially during hot summers. So, when it’s a dress down kind of day, a t-shirt dress like this comes to your rescue.

I got this beautiful cherry red coloured dress from Last Inch and believe me, it’s the softest piece of garment I’ve ever worn. I shy away from anything made out of viscose lycra fabric as they cling to your skin in an unflattering way but nope, not this dress!!

This dress is made out of a thick viscose jersey and the belt placed on the lower torso does a great job in hiding the belly( so no spanx – woohoo). I really appreciate when designers in Plus-Size fashion really think about their target customers and add such fun yet clever details on their garments.

You could go ultra low key with this dress by pairing it with some vans or flat sandals but I had to add a dash of glam so I’m wearing these pale pink block heels.

Frills and Floral

Red Skirt 2

Ruffles and Frills is out full force this season but finding flattering bold ruffled pieces is nothing short of a herculean task especially in plus sizes in India.

Red Skirt 4.jpgAbout 3 week back, I randomly walked into a Forever New store (Aussie brand) during a clearance sale and I’m usually one of those unlucky souls who never find anything good enough in a store that too during a sale. But lo and behold, I see this stunning red skirt loosely hanging off a broken hanger in just one size – MY SIZE (I wear 14 BTW). I quickly went to try it on and spent at least 20mins adoring myself (narcissistic a bit I know). I felt like a million bucks and I think this outfit is my favourite on my blog so far.

Red Skirt 1

I paired this dramatic skirt with a smocked floral off should bell sleeves crop top and a pair of black sandals for a clean look. It was good idea to stay off accessories as the ruffles make a statement on their own.  I can’t wait to repeat this twirl worthy skirt on a beachy vacation, hopefully pretty soon.

Red Skirt 3

Although I hate dancing but I totally resemble the flamenco dancer emoji (on whatsapp)..Am I right?? I hope you liked this post as much I love my outfit 😀 and I pray for you guys to get lucky like me on your next shopping trip and score a beauty like this very soon.
