Glazed in Lace

I had stayed away from wearing anything lace as far as I remember for it always reminded me of 90’s home decor like sofa & cushion covers. Therefore, anything with lace fabric was big no-no for me. But you won’t believe how I got so dramatically inspired by this so-on trend lace!? It all happened when I started watching Penny Dreadful on Netflix(don’t judge). I fell in love with Eva Green’s victorian lace gowns. Those dresses looked absolutely impeccable and it made me rethink my whole life. I fell for LACE !!

Anything bodycon is my jam so when I found this dainty white lace bodycon dress, I knew it belonged to me! However, I wanted to amp up this dress a tad bit so I paired it with another black lace midi dress to make a perfect combination of ever so pristine white with seductive black. I refrained from any jewelry as lace exudes “less is more” vibe. Instead, I chose to do a smokey eye for an overall bold and sultry look.

*Word of advice* – you must buy this black lace dress. This piece has an intricate lace detailing with slits on either side making it excellent for layering. You can pair it with a pencil skirt or even treggings and a cami top (I’m gonna try this combo soon and post an #ootd on my Insta)

So there you go, I went all lace everything including my dusty pink lace up heels which adds a slight pop of colour to this monochrome attire.

Hope you enjoyed this post and now a lace lover like me!
